Kidney pain, chills, fever. Had urine culture. Result: bacterial infection. But, where is infection? Bladder? Kidney? Bacterial UTI?
Wrong place: Staph are normal skin flora. If there's skin trauma (scratch, ingrown hair, obstructed gland) the bacteria finds a nice warm spot w/lots of free food ; they can set up shop ; grow. Staph release toxins that allow them to break down skin ; make deeper homes ; more bacteria food. Sounds awful: That sounds like a nasty toe laceration, and if infected it should be looked at by a primary care or urgent care Dr. who will see if it needs to be drained or consider antibiotics. A spreading infection can lead to fever, chills, spreading redness, fatigue then may lead to diarrhea, but what you're describing without the other symptoms I've mentioned is unlikely to be from a toe infection. ...Read more
Can cephalexin be used to treat a vaginal/skin bacterial infection. Symptoms: swelling, pain and burning during urination, and abscess foul odor puss

Cannot diagnose: If the doctors seeing you and performing pelvic exams, ultrasounds and cts cannot figure this out then there is no way in which somebody who cannot examined you could diagnose this over the internet. Nondiagnostic: These symptoms are nondiagnostic without a thorough history and physical examination by a physician. It is unusual to prescribe steroids for stomach pain and a rash and then get another antibiotic prescribed. Your physician who knows all your findings is best to advise you .
