Get the stone seen by a urologist and have them make the decision of how to manage this.

Dr. Jack Rubin answered:

Can a kidney stone with stent and lithotripsy (2months later) cause 4th stage kidney disease?

Kidney disease

Kidney_disease
You need to see the urologist who placed the stent to get further information as soon as possible. If your kidney function was normal before the procedure, you have acute kidney disease which needs to be evaluated. If the urologist finds nothing wrong, go to a nephrologist to see if you have some kidney disease not related to your kidney stone or stent placement. See these doctors quickly.

Dr. Anthony Filly answered:

Right kidney hurts all the time, left sometimes. Does this sound like a kidney infection, or kidney stone?

See below

Kidney
By kidney hurting, I assume you mean flank pain. Yes, it could easily be either of those. Would get checked out, starting with a urinalysis

Dr. Martin Raff answered:

What is worse a kidney stone or a kidney infection?

Comparative severity

Infection
Both are nobody's idea of fun. Kidney stones can result in secondary UTI. Kidney infections often require long periods of antibiotic therapy and can potentially produce severe damage. Depending on the cause of stones they can represent disease elsewhere (i.e., hyperparathyroidism, etc.). Would not rate them since both are potentially severe.

Can hydronephrosis and kidney infection caused by a kidney stone blockage of the ureter cause hypotension?

IF there is

Kidneys
obstruction this is a high risk situation for development of infection. A serious infection could cause low blood pressure. The other possibility is low blood pressure related to pain medication for the stone.

Should I go to E.R.? Kidney stone I have a kidney stone 2mm in size. I went to the E.R for pain about 2 months ago and they gave me a CT scan and then diagnosed me with kidney infection. I went to a follow up with my dr. and she said I had a kidney stone

A

A 2mm stone will generally pass without the need for intervention but it may also have grown in size over 2 months and now may not pass, or you could have developed new ones. You should see your doctor and get a repeat CT scan to reevaluate the size and location. If you cant get to your doctor, and you are in pain go to the emergency department.
