Whether one is a good candidate or not for chemo will depend on how good is the overall situation- can the person take care oneself? How much assistant she/he needs for daily activity etc? Am Cancer Society: First of all, I am sorry to hear of your diagnosis. You can find survival statistics at the american cancer society website for a variety if cancers. Remember however that you are not a statistic. That doesn't mean you should ignore stats, just remember there is always hope.
