Some types of ovarian cancer make mucous which can also fill this space. Both situations cause fluid accumulation, weight gain and bloating. However, ovarian cancer may not cause these symptoms which is why regular checkups are important. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Proabably not: Most ovarian cancers don't reach enormous sizes to allow bloating or palpation. They metastasize readily and to a site of TGF-B, that is the omentum which produces a factor allowing ascetic fluid to fill the abdomen. At that time on palpation, the bloating is not from gas but from fluid distention. A qualified physician can tell on palpation or with somography if ovarian Ca is there. ...Read more
No: Unless ovarian cancer is associated with metastatic disease to bowel causing intermittent intestinal obstruction, this lesion is usually painless. The tumor when it metastasizes goes to omentum and produces ascites where the belly first fills with fluid. Stomach aches are usually associated with gastric problems and may be controlled with antacids or acid inhibitors like Prilosec. ...Read more

Easy does it: You would have a palpable mass in your lower abdomen. Like many other bright young people, you have the obsessive idea that you have a serious illness. You'll gain much. ...Read more
