I have a sharp stabbing pain under my left rib.I thought it was a catch, but its lasted for 24hrs.Its a little painful to breath, awful if i move.Help?

Could be: Left lower lung problem, such as pneumonia, pleuritis, pulmonary embolus. Or it could be upper abdominal problem, such as stomach, pancreas, or spleen. Or it could be shingles. Did you have any: recent falls or tumbles? Or any upper respiratory cold? Sometimes a rib strain can cause our chest to hurt upon expiration or inspiration (breathing!) So, this could be the problem unless it's deeper involving an organ, like the liver or lower lungs. Have your doctor check it out. CT maybe: Since the ultrasound did not show anything then we might consider other imaging possibilities . If we assume the ultrasound did look at the pelvis and ovaries and they were fine, then CT or MRI is the best method to see if there is muscle problem or something else . Watch him closely...: Pelvic fluid can be seen in association with many diseases. Some of those include problems with the liver, kidneys, heart, appendicitis, or bowel obstruction. The high white count (19, 000) is most commonly seen as a response to infection.
