I am 16, very active in sports, I have asthma, sudden stabbing pain in lower right chest. Hurts to take a deep breath, cough, or move.
Did you have any: Recent falls or tumbles? Or any upper respiratory cold? Sometimes a rib strain can cause our chest to hurt upon expiration or inspiration (breathing!) If this is a new, sudden pain, as you descibe, it could be spasm of the anterior chest muscles or intercostal (rib) muscles. Heat, stretching, and anti-inflammatory meds will help.
