Could be normal: but he is around the 5th to 10th percentile depending on his age (4-1/2 etc). His stature alone is not concerning but has his growth been normal? It is easy to test for parasites with a stool sample and a blood sample. Normally it is not just the ferritin that is low but the hemoglobin too!
