Normal: This is within the normal range of findings in a randomly obtained urine. The rare epithelial cells are shed by the urinary tract & mean nothing in scant numbers. The rare pus cell is occasionally seen.If it were 10 or more per high power field the doc might get a culture.A study to this level would usually point out any bacteria or yeast cells seen that would suggest a problem. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Constipation relieved after using medication for 2 days, it is normal now and feeling normal. Urine shows 5-6 epithelial cells and 2-3 wbcs, any prob?
Constipation: if your constipation has improved, then you likely have nothing to worry about now. If constipation is frequent, I would increase the amount of fiber in your diet for the long run. Consider a fiber supplement such as Metamucil. If you do, increase your fluid intake also. You should have a colonoscopy at age 50, or sooner if you have chronic bowel problems The, urine results were fine. Good luck. ...Read more
I have frequent urge to urinate but sometimes when I rush to a washroom, nothing happens. This is happening for the past 10 days. When I took a urine test,it showed that epithelial cells were in large numbers.
Get urine culture: Frequency and urgency occur when the bladder is irritated. Epithelial cells can be present in the urine when the urine sample is contaminated with skin cells. It is best to get a urine culture and possibly a culture for mycoplasma/ureaplasma organisms to ensure there is no active infection that is causing your symptoms. Please see your doctor. ...Read more

I am 55 female. urine report shows pus cell- 6-8/HPF, R.C.B'S- 1-2/HPF, EPITHELIAL CELLS 8-10/HPF. is tht normal?
Contaminated urine: If the urine was collected using good cleaning prior to urination, then it is not normal. If a woman does not use a good clean catch technique then the urine can be contaminated from surrounding secretions. There being more epithelial cells than blood cells indicates that this was most likely a contaminated urine specimen. The urine test should be repeated using good clean catch technique. ...Read more
