Most likely: If the red spots appeared soon after vaginal intercourse, it might be due to friction to the area. Unlikely: A red patch, commonly cause an erosion, is not uncommon on the cervix. Your doctor has likely seen many such lesions and will take care of it. Please do get regular PAP tests. For good health- Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Pap misses most STDs: The pap smear is designed to detect abnormal cells that can predict future cancer, and these changes are caused by HPV, an STD. But it does not detect any other STDs; specific STD tests (e.g. gonorrhea, chlamydia, trichomonas) need to be requested by the doctor. And yes, vaginal and labial burning often is caused by yeast.
