More likely hernia: Common things commonly occur & hernias are very common. Femoral nerve pain would be confined to the leg & often associated with leg weakness. Ilioinguinal nerve travels thru inguinal canal (next to hernia , if present) & sends branches into scrotum & into upper & inner thigh. Thus hernia pressing on ilioinguinal nerve is most likely cause, followed by other causes of Ilioinguinal nerve pain. ...Read more
