U R a minor but U--: -need an answer. U must share this with Ur parents! Quad pain may B due 2 overuse, or 2 rapid elevation of Ur program. B sure U have a day of rest after a hard workout. Hip pain is more of a worry. There R conditions such as femoral acetbular impingement, or poor acetabular coverage of the femoral head. Many possibilities: Pain from the shoulder down the arm my be caused by a variety of things. Starting at the neck, there may be a pinched nerve, or the joints in the neck may be irritated. The muscles around the neck and shoulder may develop trigger points or tendonopathy which cause radiating pain. The shoulder itself may develop impingement. L5-S1 microdiscectomy Fri for left leg sciatic pain. Calf/foot pain relief w/some thigh/behind knee pain. Pain less AM but sharp pain down left leg into foot w/pain level of 9.5 & hurts sitting/lying.
Microdiskectomy: Give it some time; sometimes simply moving the roots around can upset the lumbar plexus and give you intermittent (even quite severe) pain, although it resolves within a week or two. Getting to the disk requires mobilization of the roots and inflammatory changes from that- or the disk herniation- itself can give this pain.
