How long will i need to wear my oval-8 finger splints to fix my hyperextended middle and ring fingers? Fyi- I have other hyperextended joints and tts

I have had stenosing tenosynovitis of the middle finger on both hands for more than two years. Any chance splinting could help?, and which is best?
Injection: 70% of patients can be cured with cortisone injection into the sheath. My usual routine is to inject then a month later if any symptoms remain inject again. If symptoms persist/recur then the odds of a third injection curing drops below 5% so i recommend surgery then. I haven't found splinting helpful for adults.
