Diagnosed with14cm spleen 7/1/13 i've been having mildly sharp intermittent pain under left rib cage. How do I know when to go toer this can't ruptur!

Enlarged spleen: The spleen normally doesn't hurt when enlarged. A 14 cm spleen doesn't appear to be significantly enlarged if measured by ultrasound. If you have no other symptoms or findings on the diagnostic test, i would not be too worried about it. ...Read more

4.8 x 1.8 x 2.4 low attenuating lesion on spleen. I do have pain under left lower rib cage. Should I be concerned?

Prior physician?: Who found this growth and when? It is important to see someone, even if it is benign in nature and just for reassurance. I would contact the physician who first discovered the growth and ask for further recommendations and/or surgeon referral especially since you are now experiencing symptoms in that general area. All the best! ...Read more

The bottom left of my rib cage feels bruised, also struggled to eat full meals recently...enlarged spleen?

See a doctor: This sounds like something which merits rapid assessment by a health care professional. Enlarged spleen, if present, may be due to infectious mononucleosis, but there are other potentially severe conditions which can also do this. Healthcare in UK is excellent. Go see a doctor, and I wish you better soon. ...Read more
