Blister Location?: It would be more helpful to tell me where the blisters are located? Are they on the hands, feet, elbows, back, legs? My husband was pulling weeds when he broke out in small red spots/fluid filled blisters and only on his upper torso. What could this be and treatment?

Poison ivy or…?: There are many plants & weeds that can cause skin reactions, poison ivy being the most well-known. As long as there is no swelling of lips/throat or difficulty breathing, gently wash areas with mild soap & water to remove allergen. Use topical benadryl/aloe vera gel/ calamine lotion/ Cortaid (hydrocortisone) for rash & itching. Oral antihistamine like benadryl/zyrtec/claritin will help too. Not better—> see doc. ...Read more

Hand foot and mouth disease usually has a maculopapular rash caused by intestinal viruses of the picornaviridae family. commonly Coxsackievirus A16 and Enterovirus 71 but these are seldom painful. 'Spider" bite: A recurring area of blistering with fluid may not be due to a bug or spider bite, but rather to a localised viral infection called herpes simplex. If you see your doctor when the blisters are present a culture of the fluid can be done to confirm if it is herpes. If it is then treatment can be prescribed.
