My spine, in between two vertebrae, it's burning stinging with sharp pain. Nothing helps. EBay should i do?

Spinal pain: There are 24 movable vertebrae. Knowing which two would help. At your age a discitis is possible if you have had unclean IV injections or a serious systemic infection. A fever is frequent with this. The area is often tender and movement is painful. This is dangerous and needs and MRI and needle biopsy with culture. W/O more specific info my guesses are useless. ...Read more

Shocking spine pain: "Electrical shocks" down the spine may be a serious problem. If you have sharp stabbing pain in your low back, that may be muscular or referred pain and should respond to physical therapy and conservative treatments. If you have shooting electrical shocks from the neck to low back, particularly when looking down, that can be from spinal cord compression and you should see a spine specialist. ...Read more

Sharp like stinging pains in legs?? And deep like bone pain in spine and back I have scoliosis could this be a factor??

Possibly: What your describing could be due to nerve impingement in your spine, or narrowing of the spinal canal where the spinal cord is located. I suspect your scoliosis might be a factor, but many people have similar symptoms without scoliosis. Best to discuss this with a back specialist. Ask your family doctor first and see if a referral is indicated. ...Read more

Pinched nerve: It could be related to residual muscle spasm and sprain, but there could be a herniated disc causing impingement on nerves. Start with an exam by your doctor who may start cervical x-rays and recommend PT if normal, but if no response, I recommend MRI to assess for herniated disc. Best wishes ...Read more

No: It's possible you strained your upper back muscles. Sometimes falls will irritate a joint or disc in the neck/back. Early treatment options include a short course of nsaids (advil, aleve), gentle massage, moist heat, and focusing on posture. If pain lasts greater than 2 weeks see your physician. ...Read more

Been having stinging back pain on the lower right side that come and go. Sometimes the pain is mild but other times it is almost unbearable. Any idea?

Pinched Nerve: Sounds like you have a pinched nerve in your back. Can take up to 6 months to go away on its own. I would suggest seeing a pain/spine specialist to evaluate you further to evaluate what level and what can be done to treat you. There are interventional treatments besides medications and surgeries that might reduce or eliminate the pain altogether. ...Read more
