Inguinal ligament: Maybe the ligament itself is injured? But there is no pain with palpation? It is not likely to be from your lower back spondylosis. That would be more likely to affect your feet and calves. Possibly: Spina Bifida occulta is often an incidental finding when someone develops back pain and has an x-ray done. This is due to incomplete fusion of the spinous process during development and is congenital. An MRI could be helpful to examine the spinal cord to see if there is and tethering. Don't do it: there are many other exercise choices available rather than squats and dead lifts. Strongly recommend that you increase your core strength/abdominals and this would greatly benefit your lower back. ...Read more
