This morning I noticed 2 purple spider bites with a tiny bruise and very small red bump. There has been no pain and I feel fine, it is now 11:00 pm.

Where do you live?: Brown recluse spiders are found in central and southwest states. Their bites are quite rare, usually painful, forming ulcers. Unless you saw the spider, felt the bite, and took the spider to an expert, assume it is something else. Black widow bites are even more rare. Not many: Brown recluse spiders are mostly in the midwest, usually in basements and hidden areas. They are not aggressive but will bite if disturbed. Most spider bites are by other species.
