I have a dime sized spider bite.Red lump white center. It is itchy but not painful. How should I care for it? When should I worry?

Seek medical care asap if you think a spider bit you & you have fever, severe pain (can be felt at bite site & possibly chest, back or abdomen); abdominal cramping /rigidness or ulceration of skin at site. The saliva from the spider causes redness, swelling and induration(hard lump) under skin. oral Benadryl (diphenhydramine) every 4 to 6 hours will help with reaction. Putting in a cool compress over spider bite for 10 minutes every hour while awake will help.
