Spells Of Face Becoming Flush
I've started taking magnesium and vit B6 tablets and have since had two spells of dry flushing on face, arms and chest. Could the tabs cause this?
Very unlikely: When given IV magnesium can cause a warm flushing sensation deep within, not on the skin, but i've never heard of this happening with oral magnesium as one doesn't get a high level in the blood at once. B6 will not cause this. The only vitamin that causes flushing is b3 in the Niacin form (not as niacineamide) so this is almost certainly a coincidence unless it's an unusual reaction to excipients. ...Read more

One side of my face is always warmer than the other and sometimes flushes and the other side doesn't. It's not rosacea. Is it a sign of something bad?
Hard to know: A physician will need to see you (ideally while this is happening) and perform at least a limited exam to offer more insight. Probably not worrisome, but recommend you see your primary physician. 2 thoughts come to my mind 1) Horners syndrome affecting the opposite side or other syndrome affecting unilateral sympathetic nerves 2) photosensitivity (occur usually after driving?) ...Read more
