I have a speckled red rash on lower legs above ankles and is spreading, has slight itch some days, been like this for months now, any advice?!
Rash: Start w/a visit to your doctor. Then consider things like laundry detergent change, medications you are on that may have side effects, low B12, sensitivity to one or another food which can be lab tested for. Not possible: Sunburn is response of tissues to injury from solar radiation. It is inflammation (red, hot, swelling, pain( which increases blood flow to the area to promote healing. Do not use ice as this injures already injured skin. Cool water soaks help as can taking anti-inflammation medicines like Motrin or advil (ibuprofen).
