Depends: B6 has two forms, active and inactive. Pyridoxal 5 phosphate p5p is the active form. Inactive b6 competes with p5p at the receptor. Some people do not convert b6 to p5p very well, so by taking high doses of inactive b6 can actually cause a functional deficiency due to receptor competition. Always take active b6. ...Read more

Prob. not related: It is unlikely to have toxicity from 200 mg of vitamin b6. If it is, it will almost always disappear if you stop it. If you do not start to improve, see your doctor because stiffness is not the usual symptoms from high b6. ...Read more

Poor: If you are not sure if the baby moves its legs at 3 years of age the prognosis for motor development is not good. Hopefully you have seen a neurologist and possibly a physiatrist. There are different treatments that may help the spasticity. ...Read more

NEED DIAGNOSIS: You symptoms of spasticity, numbness, and weakness are not consistent with restless leg syndrome, and the pattern of fatigue seems also atypical. You need to describe all of this to the new doctor, as ms could be a consideration, but so could other diseases. Its possible: That if she had a general anesthetic for this, and succinylcoline was used that she may be having some muscle pain from the medication. This is normal and should resolve in a day or so. If not contact the surgery center where it was done to follow up. ...Read more

Not exactly: He's probably right in not to worry as tetanus just does not present that way without the infection getting worse first and with constitutional symptoms. What is not true is that the cause of tetanus is bacteria, not virus. ...Read more

Get second opinion: Although the normal blood tests suggest that your lupus is not active, one needs to consider other causes for your pain and thus I would suggest that you seek a 2nd opinion- perhaps an orthopedist. Having one disease does not preclude another condition. ...Read more
