Sores In My Nose That Won T Heal
I have sores in my nose that won't heal. I thought maybe its from the dry air, but its going on now for a month what can I use to heal them?
I have sores all over my nose. They are red and nasty looking. They are from me squeezing blackheads on my nose. What do I do to heal them? & quickly?

This: This is a common problem I see with patients who use a c-pap. The proper treatment depends a bit on the exact location and clinical observation so I would recommend you consult a dermatologist. Sometimes I recommend Hydrocortisone cream with a thin layer of zinc oxide paste over that to help reduce inflammation and irritation. Other cases, just a little bit of vaseline. Acne keloidalis: If the "sores and scabs" are bumps arising from hair follicles, and possibly coalescing into each other, you may have something called acne keloidalis nuchae. Maybe folliculitis: Sometimes the hair follicles inside the nose can become infected and irritated leading to a condition known as "folliculitis ". An antibiotic ointment like Bacitracin can often be of benefit applied with a clean finger several times a day. Nose sores could be from infecctions, some people are carriers of mrsa (staph) and this may need to be eradicated. Dry mucus may be another reason. Need to use saline nasal lavage and avoid irritation of nasal passages.

Yes, but...: Sores in your nose can make your neck lymph nodes enlarged. But the lymph nodes above your collarbone are less likely to be enlarged from sores in your nose. These lymph nodes can be enlarged from something going on in your lungs, chest wall, thyroid, or mouth. Cancer of the lymph nodes (lymphoma) makes them rubbery and swollen but not painful.
