Mild flu symptoms 2 days. Fever 100.8. Occ cough fits., low mucus. Aching under full left ribcage; a spasm feel if I push under ribs near stomach. Energy ok. No medical ins. What could it be?
Sounds like a: Viral infection. You can just treat the symptoms if you don't get much worse. Mucinexdm will loosen and help with the cough. Dayquil and nyquil help too. Ibuprofen or aleve (naproxen) for fever or aches. A cool mist humidifier in the room will help too. Did you get a flu shot?See 1 more doctor answer
Stomach cramps ribcage to pelvis tender spot when pressed to left side of belly button and stomach very noisy and feel the need to pass wind alot?
Stomach cramps: You will need a medical evaluation. Unclear from your description what may be happening. More questions : are you able to eat, do you feel nausea, anything make the cramps better / worse, when did this start, any change of bowel movements, have you experienced this previously. Most likely lab tests and some form of imaging will be ordered. Take care...
Constant ache left side about 2" from ribcage/upper stomach area. Sometimes slight stabbing pain. What could be wrong?
Chest pain: It seems more like a costochondritis, but I am a little confused as to the location. This occurs usually about the 4th-6th costochondral junction about 2 inches from the sternum. Try to press and it hurts. And the treatment initially are nsaids like advil (ibuprofen) or alive. Nevertheless, see your doctor to make sure.
: for the last 3days in the very top, center of my stomach in 1 spot below where my ribcage meets a mix of burning and ache usually when I lay down?
Sounds like GERD: Get in 2 b evaluated by ur pcp or gastroenterologist. Easly treated but u need a diagnosis first.
For years I wake up with an abdominal ache. When I inhale the pain becomes sharp. It is only when I wake and goes away once up and moving. Area: if I place my fist right below my ribcage in the center. I can feel it somewhat in my back as well.?
Epigastric pain: Pain in that region with radiation to the back is seen with pancreatic pathology and with a penetrating peptic ulcer. Gall bladder pain is usually in the right upper abdomen with radiation around the right side into the back. My advice is to consult a gastroenterologist for evaluation and advice. Appropriate tests will be ordered.
See your doctor: This is one of those problems where a visit to your doctor is necessary to figure out what's going on. Only after a thorough evaluation, including examination and possibly labs and other tests, can your doctor correctly diagnose you and treat you effectively.
Need more info...: Where in your abdomen is your soreness? Are there associated symptoms, bleeding, discharge? Any defects or surgical repairs? Any known diseases like irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, ulcers? What did you eat, drink, or do last night? Over-exercising lately? Urinary or female issues? Help us best help you by providing more information please.
It depends: This all depends on the context of what was said, and by whom. Generally, most of us interchange the word "stomach" for "abdomen or belly". The stomach is contained within the abdomen. It is most likely that someone really means their abdomen (or belly) hurts.
MANY: You need an exam and good history see your doctor.
LUQ anatomy: Anatomically, the left upper quadrant (luq) of abdomen includes: spleen, pancreatic tail, stomach, descending duodenum, splenic flexure of the colon, associated vessels. Don't forget the diaphragm, heart, and lower chest are pretty close by. The abdominal musculature, ribs, and skin can all contribute as well to localizing luq symptoms as described.
Sore stomach: First, consider your diet. Is it balanced and nutritious? Second, are you taking any medications. And how about tobacco. Then, are you taking regular meals and avoiding unhealthy snacks and other foods known to cause gastric upset. After considering this, you may need to see your doctor.
Impossible to answer: This question is too broad and has no specifics. It is impossible to answer on this limited simple app. Like: where specifically do you hurt? What activities have your recently participated in? What medical conditions do you have? Are you sexually active? How are your periods? Do you have a fever? Rash? Sores?
Clarify question: I don't really understand your question. "nibbles" clarify this.
Could be...: Usually when having a sore or burning stomach in the morning it is related to acid reflux or heartburn. First of all try to decrease fat in your diet along with irritants like caffeine, sauces, spicy food, bread, refined sugars, all of which can cause these type of symptoms. You can also try antacid medication. However if symptoms are severe or not better with these measures see your doctor
