I had a C-section about 3 weeks ago. Yesterday i had to drive. Now, just above the scar, its swollen and sore. What does this mean?
Stitch: Usually it is a stitch that wants to come out from the inside. If it is pain and swell (edema) then there is an inflammation going on and this is the first usual cause. Hello. My wife did a cesarean section last month. And now the left side of the scar is hurting really bad. The right side is all okay. Why is that?
Healing: It takes 6-9 months for pain from cesarean to go away. Eventually for nearly 99% of women the pain will go away completely withe time. Sometimes there is a trapped nerve that needs to be treated with steroid injections and pain medication injections, but that's fairly rare. She should see her doctor if after 4-6 months not getting better, but right now, still completely normal. ...Read more

Normal: You are still healing on the inside. If there is no bulge and no pain except when you press on the area this is probably normal and should continue to get better. If it doesn't keep getting better or if it worsens, see your doctor. Best wishes. ...Read more
Is it normal to have pain where my C-section scar is over a year after the surgery? It burns and is tender...
Possibly : Scars can often be symptomatic even months after a procedure. If the scar is rubbed by clothing, it may become inflamed and need topical treatment. If the scar is becoming raised, it may have become a keloid and need injections to flatten again. Finally, in that area, yeast infections can occur over a scar and make the area red. See a physician to see what is needed in your case. ...Read more

I have several hard lumps under my C-section incision. I am 13 days post op. They are not very sore just tender. More on the right side. Concerning?
It depends: Many factors go into how you heal. The more you can get up and move around the better you will feel. However, if this was a second or more c-section, then that matters.
