See your dr: A pregnancy test and ultrasound should be done. The ultrasound could show if the uterus is retaining blood or tissue or if another problem with your uterus is causing problems.

Endometrial Ablation (Definition)

Endometrial ablation refers to procedures that use energy to damage or destroy the lining of the uterus that normally build up in preparation of pregnancy. If no pregnancy happens, the lining is shed as a period. There are several different types of ablation-thermal heat, radio frequency, and freezing. All of them are good options but some might be better in certain situations. ...Read more

I recntly had the novasure done. I have not bleed but I have been nausea and my breast are sore. Should I be concerned?

It depends.: Did you have a tubal ligation or your partner a vasectomy prior to the Novasure? It does not prevent pregnancy. Symptoms could be from the hormonal fluctuation of ovulation, something GI related or both.

Why do I have tender breast after endometrial ablation surgery?

Why do I have tender breast after endometrial ablation surgery?

Not the ablation: The ablation should not cause breast tenderness. It only stops the lining of the uterus from responding to hormones produced by the ovaries, but the breast tissue can still be affected by the cyclic hormone production of the ovaries. See your doctor for further evaluation.

Is it possible to get pregnant after a tubal ligation and endometrial ablation? I've been having nausea, sore breasts and fatigue a lot lately.

Is it possible to get pregnant after a tubal ligation and endometrial ablation? I've been having nausea, sore breasts and fatigue a lot lately.

Hopefully not: At 33 years of age, your chances of pregnancy after tubal ligation are somewhere around 1 in 300. When you add that you've had an ablation on top of that, your chances decrease even more. I don't have a number for that. While never 0%, very very low that you're pregnant. Take a test, but I bet it's negative. See md if your nausea and fatigue persist!

Minimal chance: Tubal ligation has a failure rate of 1 in 300 due to tubal fistula and if you have a positive pregnancy test the pregnancy would most likely be in the tube. This may also be elevated prolactin or a thyroid issue. Since tomorrow is Monday, I would call your physician and request testing including a blood pregnancy test for your symptoms.

Breasts are more sore than usual, should I be concerned?

Not necessarily.: Breast soreness can occur due to stretching from increased fluid retention. Breast pain can occur in conjunction w premenstrual syndrome, ovulation, your period, pregnancy, hormone imbalance or use of oral contraceptives. If this becomes an issue for you -have it medically checked. Take care.

My breasts are extra swollen and sore.

Hormonal: As women get into their late 40s, there are often hormonal swings due to fluctuations in ovarian function. This can cause persistent breast tenderness when previously the breast might have only been sore and swollen for a few days around the period time. Be sure you're up to date on mammogram and annual breast check with your gynecologist.

Please suggest remedies for sore breasts?

Fibrocystic breasts?: You should certainly be checked for a breast mass or other abnormalities. If you have fibrocystic breast disease, which is common and not dangerous, you should try Motrin or alleve (but not both) and evening primrose oil tablets.
