Swollen lymph nodes: It sounds like you have swollen lymph nodes, These can last several months in the absence of an infection. If you feel they are not getting better, I would follow up with your primary care physician as she may need to get blood work and possibly a biopsy to make sure there's nothing else going on ...Read more
Sore throat, mouth lesions 2 months. Mouth BX said leukoplakia, dysplasia, candida. Now large non tender nodes in posterior triangle. Low wbc. Reactive?
Immunodeficiency : I'm worried about your overall health. To have those biopsy findings you mentioned is a concern, now if you have enlarged lymph nodes I wonder if this is connected to your earlier presentation. Hopefully your primary doc is working hard to help you out. I hope u can see an ID doctor as part of it all- I would be very interested to know "what" your immune system is or isn't doing-and know how2 help ...Read more
What is mild prominence of the left femoral head neck junction of the hip in xray? This side usually sore but especially when sleeping on this side.
Possible impingement: That refers to a possible impingement condition of the hip joint. If you have soreness at the side of your hip when sleeping on that side, then the diagnosis is likely to be a greater trochanteric bursitis, which can usually be treated with steroid injections and/or NSAIDs (i.e. ibuprofen, Aleve). ...Read more
I'm a runner, and my muscles and tendons are getting increasingly sore at the top of my femur on the outside of my leg. I stretch regularly. Ideas?
Sorry just noticed: Just realized you said top of femur. If in lower leg my answer. Would stand. Out upper leg could be a bursitis or tendinitis....Even a type of fasciitis. Avoid offending activity for several weeks....Otc antiinflamatories and ortho follow up if conservative measures aren't enough. ...Read more

I am going to have donor egg ivf. I had buserelin 5 w/ks. Since i strated progynova a week ago my pelvic triangle feels very tender. Is this normal?
Maybe not: Progynova is a pro-hormone for estradiol, which is the main natural sex hormone in women. There is no clear reason this medicine should cause pain of any kind, but some reasons why it might. Have you asked this question to the ivf doctor(s) you are working with? A doctor who knows you can likely give a more helpful answer. In my view, "very tender" may not be normal. ...Read more

9 days ago i had scar tissue removed due to a femoral hernia repair today i noticed a red area 2 or 3" above the cut and is tender to the touch.
I noticed a tender grape sized ball in my upper thigh area (near groin). I am a 19 year old female. Is it possible that this may be a femoral hernia?
Unlikely: If you can feel a distinct size, like a grape, it retains the same size no matter how you push on it , the chance of it being a hernia is remote. Most of these peanut to grape sized structures are benign lymph notes that are often noticed in the fold of the groin. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
4yrs ago i was shot in my left femur not sure what was done but its always aching just feel old is there a workout i can do or something please?
Infection?Nonunion?: First we have to make sure the fracture is healed and that there is no infection in the bone. These would be the most serious reasons causing persistant pain. See your doctor and get xrays. If you are clear of infection or lack of healing (nonunion), the soft tissues around your bone may be causing your pain. Strengthening, stretching, and soft tissue modalities would be recommended. ...Read more
What causes a dull ache in right leg? I broke my right femur a few years ago. Consistent pain in knee since break and now the dull ach.
Possible scar tissue: From the injury. Some people get pains with the weather but some have constant pain. As long as your doctor is aware of this and says it is ok then you can just take nsaids or aspirin. If you have not told your doctor you should because constant pain is not really normal. ...Read more
See answer: The best treatment will depend on the diagnosis of your heel pain. If you have a heel spur for example, then NSAIDS, rest, trying to use a soft insert, with an area that is cut out where the spur is, can keep the pressure off and help as well, etc. If is caused by plantar fasciitis, then another treatment option may be available etc. Get the foot assessed by a foot dr. and the best Tx will come. ...Read more
