Have it examined: Have it examined by your local dermatologist. It may be a harmless (benign) lesion (ie, benign nevus, angioma, fibrous papule) or it could be a melanoma or non-melanoma skin cancer. Please try to stop picking it. Even if it is harmless it may be removed to prevent you from further irritating/infecting it. ...Read more

Not to worry: If the area of redness is greater than half an inch or is associated with increasing pain, pus-like drainage, or if you have a fever or otherwise feel ill, then i would call your doctor to have it examined. Otherwise, this is probably inflammation associated with the mole removal and normal healing. ...Read more
