Not sure: I assume you mean the little finger side of your wrist. Pain on this side of wrist has many potential causes. Tendinitis is most likely cause, but ligament injuries can cause this as well. Try keeping track of what you are doing the few days before it hurts. Excessive exercise, sports, or typing and writing could all be contributing to your pain. ...Read more

Tendonitis: First off, the swollen vein may not be significant. On the other hand it may go away on its own. ...Read more

Wrist pain. Possible ligament. Painfully to grasp a glass. Bone is also sore. Inner wrist. Possible causrs? Treatments?
Possibly surgery: Conservative treatment for carpal tunnel including splints, anti inflammatory meds and steroids work in the early stages but do not provide great long term relief as the condition worsens. Surgery can provide great relief and if done endoscopically can allow a rather quick return to function with minimal pain compared to traditional techniques. I would recommend an evaluation by a hand surgeon. ...Read more

Low back pain with right thigh numbness and right arm/hand/wrist pain/numbness. Sneezing causes extreme aching pain in both arms. Thoughts on causes?
Spine specialist W/U: It coulb be from disc disease in your neck or high in the back creating some nerve root irritation from the sudden negative intrathoracic pressure created by the sneeze. When not sneezing the disc may look normal, which makes it very difficult to diagnose. The same phenomenon can result from a build up of bone (osteophytes) near the central canal or the foramen where the nerves travel. ...Read more
I started playing tennis and ignored a slight pain in my wrist. Tender pain started between my index & middle knuckle today. Is this cause for concern?
No: Most likely an overuse tendinitis. Best to use ice in the area 20 to 30 minutes on, 20 to 30 minutes off several times a day. Use over-the-counter anti-inflammatory per label directions. Layoff the tennis for a few days. If no improvement in 7 to 10 days or worse, see your doctor. Hope this is helpful. Best of luck with this. ...Read more
