Sore throat mouth sores and swollen gums. Allergies?

Sore throat mouth sores and swollen gums. Allergies?

Herpangina, herpetic stomatitis, and hand-foot-and mouth disease all have similar symptoms. All will heal on their own in 7-10 days.

Canker sores can be triggered by emotional stress, dietary deficiencies (especially iron, folic acid, or vitamin B-12), menstrual periods, hormonal changes, food allergies, and similar situations. They occur most commonly with viral infections. In some cases, the cause can not be identified. Treatment is usually not necessary. In most cases, the canker sores ...Read more

Doctor can check: New throat pain can be from a strep throat infection (antibiotics are needed), a cold or influenza (antibiotics usually not used), or from some other cause such as allergies or irritants. Usually, a person sees the doctor if the sore throat is bothersome, recurrent, or doesn't go away quickly (mainly to check for strep throat). Throat lozenges and Tylenol (acetaminophen) or Motrin can help decrease throat pain. ...Read more

It sounds like teething pain but I would have her see a dentist about the swollen gums to rule out other possible pathologies as soon as possible. ...Read more
