I need to know weather I need to go to the doctor tomorrow or go to the ER today? I have bumps that itch all over my body but I have had chicken pox 3 times already, I have diarehea and rotten egg burps I have a runny nose and a sore throat should I go
Hello.: Hello. I can't diagnose your condition. The combination of a rash, abdominal discomfort, headache, diarrhea, burping, sore throat and a runny nose could be caused by a viral infection. If you develop a fever of 104 or greater that is a reason to seek urgent care. If you develop difficulty breathing or swelling of tongue or throat that is an emergency. Because of diarrhea, you need to be drinking water to avoid dehydration. If inspite of attempts to remain hydrated; you develop a high resting pulse rate and you feel dizzy upon getting up, that means you might have still become dehydrated. If you can't remain adequately hydrated, you may need to be seen at an emergency room for intravenous hydration. Currently, you are not describing symptoms that would dictate a emergency evaluation. However, if your situation worsens, you may need to consider that option. I hope that you feel better soon. Take care.
Need to be seen: By your doctor or any doctor, your symptoms and duration warrant medical attention, meanwhile rest, fluids salt water gargles, saline nasal washes and pain killers, best wishesSee 1 more doctor answer
Some tips: Tips: sore throat – gargle with warm salt water (1/2 tsp salt in 8 oz of water). Get strep test/culture if very sore. Congestion – saline nose drops or netti pot. For anti-inflammatory effect & mobilizing mucus- homemade chicken noodle soup. Hydrate- lots of water/clear broth/ add honey & a small amt. Of lemon juice to chamomile tea. Fever/ pain – Acetaminophen / nsaid’s rest!
Try ginger tea: It sounds like u have a viral illness with those nasal symptoms + cough. My personal favorite (what I use) is ginger tea -try boiling a chunk of fresh ginger for 10 min, let cool a little bit & add honey. The over the counter throat medicines & lozenges may help - ever tried the 'hurricane spray'? I would try the ginger tea first. Sometimes u can get it in the tea aisle if u don't want to make it.See 1 more doctor answer
Had sore throat & runny nose then very few red rashes on face that are not painful. What could it be?
After I had sore throat, runny nose, flu and little high Temp for 3 days, I keep coughing, now 4 weeks, everything is fine. Coughing with lot of mucus?
Dr. Can check throat: New throat pain can be from a strep throat infection (antibiotics are needed), a cold or influenza (antibiotics usually not used), or from some other cause such as allergies or irritants. Usually, a person sees the doctor if the sore throat is bothersome, recurrent, or doesn't go away quickly (mainly to check for strep throat). Throat lozenges and Tylenol or Motrin can help decrease throat pain.
Hi. I've had a fever & general body pain since 7 Oct. I treated it like 'flu but the symptoms haven't stopped. Also no sore throat/runny nose. Thanks?
Still flu: Influenza can definitely cause people to have ongoing fevers for a week or more. Unless you have reason to think you might be immune suppressed or have some kind of auto-immune issue then it is probably safe to persevere (provided you are staying the same or getting better). http://www. I have a green tongue, a sore throat, runny nose and I can't talk and I've had this cold for about 5 days! Help?
Sore throat. Runny nose stuffy at night. Ear feels like their is liquid in it and everytime I swalllow it hurts my ear.
These symptoms: Without a fever may or may not prove infection. Pressure in sinuses and ears can cause pain. There is congestion as proven by the ear and the pain on swallowing may just be irritation of the throat and the nerve. You will need decongestant/antihistamine and perhaps a nasal spray but your doctor should decide whether you need antibiotics or not. Go get examined and find out. Good luck.
My 2.5yr old is getting sick atleats once every 3m samething fever sore throat runny nose even admitted for not making urine. Help? Suggestions?
Sore throat, runny nose, malaise since 3 days! Will resolve spontaneously if viral! How do I know for sure that it's viral & not bacterial? Antibiotic?
Resolving Strep/Uri: Both strep infection of the throat and/or uris will resolve in an otherwise healthy patient. Taking an appropriate antibiotic may shorten the course slightly, but know abx are intended to prevent the complications of strep eg, rheumatic fever or glomerulonephritis. Giving an abx to people with colds, green runny noses, a few days of sinus congestion isn't helpful and is potentially harmful.See 1 more doctor answer
