Sore Throat From Breathing Tube
Had op for my sinuses 3 weeks ago since then I've had a constant sore throat hurts to swallow, could the breathing tube scratched my throat?
Very sore throat after breathing tube from surgery yesterday. Hurts to move throat side to side or drink juice. Any idea on how to heal my throat?
Depends: People can have a slightly hoarse voice and a sore throat after intubation, this will resolve and should get better in a couple of days. However, if there is complete loss of voice(or very hoarse), or if it is taking longer-this is not typical and could be a sign of a problem. Uncommonly, the arytenoid cartilage can be dislocated. Don't delay if one is still very hoarse after a couple of days. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Would call you GI doctor today and let him know, as he may add these medications if you are not on them or may wish to do an EGD and see what is there. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

When you do breathe through your nose, the air is 100% humidified by the time it reaches those places.
