Hi recently got tested for cbc, in that test got high lymphocytes count4.22; range 1.0-3.0. What does that mean? Have sore throat for 5 months. Help

Agree w Dr Pascolini: If you have a significantly sore throat w swollen tonsils / lymph nodes – see your medical provider ; get a streph throat test ; culture. Saltwater gargles are very helpful. Mix a teaspoon of salt in 8 oz of warm water – gargle with this several times a day. You can gargle with aloe vera juice a couple of times per day. If you have strep throat, antibiotic therapy is imperative to prevent future complications. Consider tylenol (acetaminophen) or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications. Depends: The cause of the sore throat is the defining feature here. If it strep throat, antibiotics; if viral, time will help; if due to other sources, it depends upon what they are. I appreciate that you are concerned about this. We do know that the longer one is ill with these upper respiratory symptoms the less contagious one is.
But, with a fever I would recommend good hygiene, good hand washing, covering your mouth if and when you cough and not kissing any one yet.
