Let me explian: Most likely not but take care them early before they cause more problems. Ask your doctor to take x-ray on the tail bone to see if it is broken.

U R young so U should try all conservative measures such as a pillow, NSAIDS if able 2 take them, also a pain clinic can offer injections. If nothing helps if it is really a problem U can't tolerate, U could seek a surgical opinion. Excision can B considered, so seek an orthopedic surgeon who is quite familiar with this proc. See below:: The possibility of this being a fracture of the tailbone (coccyx) is high, if there is a history of sustaining a fall onto your butt, unless there is a weakness in the bone from beforehand. Using a ring cushion to sit on is helpful with nsaids for pain. It can take 3-4 months for it heal, sometimes longer. Rarely surgery is needed.

Consult your PCP to: Be evaluated to see whether its from the spine or is it something like a pilonidal cyst. For a back issue you may have to see an orthopod/spinal surgeon, while for the p. Cyst a referral to a gen surgeon would be more appropriate. So seeing the pcp would be beneficial to start investigations/referrals.
Meanwhile take some pain meds.

Yes: It is concerning that you would have these type of wounds. If this is being treated then usually it can heal well with time- but it does take time. I would just want you to make sure you are seeing someone and that there is a management plan in place for addressing the wounds.
