ER/Ophtho: Could be Herpes Opthalmicus which is treatable and can completely resolve without permanent problems if treated early. Best to be seen by Ophtho who can prescribe coticosteroid drops, if needed. You may be put on an antiviral as well as costicosteroids by mouth. Are there any blisters or lesions on your face? Hydrocortisone: It sounds like mild eczema, and i'd use some over the counter Hydrocortisone cream on it for a few days. If it's clearing up, great! if not, i'd get it checked out by your family doctor. Sores on the face that scab or flake and don't heal by 2 weeks concern us for skin cancer.
