Inflammation: This could be due to localized inflammation, or an underlying problem with the bone (i.e. fracture, instability). See a physician if your symptoms persist or worsen. ...Read more
Consult your PCP to:
Be evaluated to see whether its from the spine or is it something like a pilonidal cyst. For a back issue you may have to see an orthopod/spinal surgeon, while for the p. Cyst a referral to a gen surgeon would be more appropriate. So seeing the pcp would be beneficial to start investigations/referrals.
Meanwhile take some pain meds.
Good luck. ...Read more

Started exercising 2 wks ago Started feeling pain in the top of my butt crack Feels like a lump & its sore Hurts to sit directly on my butt what is it?
Need to examine:
It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without physical examination, however what you described suggests a friction blister/sore. Do not give up exercise, but do a different one. You may walk or jog, or use treadmill. If you are overweight, you may resume the exercise you were doing after you lose weight and the sore heals. I commend you for exercising.
For good health -Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form.
Practice safe sex.

I woke up with a small cluster of blisters on the top part of my butt crack and redness that goes all the way down the one cheek. I’ve never had this or anything like it.?
Herpes zoster?: If all blsiter-like lesions and rash are strictly on one side of the body's midline, then the best bets are either herpes zoster (shingles) or recurrent herpes simplex, probably type 2 (HSV2). Bacteria like staph or strep, allergies, and other dermatitis also are possible. (My bet is shingles.) See doctor ASAP: if either shingles or herpes, effective Rx must be started immediately. Good luck! ...Read more

Likely ringworm: It is likely to be a fungus infection like ringworm or athlete's foot, but it happens behind the ears. Get medicine for athlete's foot (lotrimin (clotrimazole) is one, there are several others). Apply a little of the cream to the area and rub it in twice a day and it should clear in 3-5 days. Use the cream again at the first sign of the rash coming back. ...Read more
I have these cold sore looking things in my butt crack, it's in the upper part of the crack. It doesn't look like herpes. Stings when water hits it?
Time to get checked: "cold sores" near the backside, buttocks, anus as well as your private area can be related to a herpes infection: you must be examined and tested. Obviously, other conditions like friction from underwear, bacterial infection or allergic reaction to soap or detergent can be possibilities. Call for exam and testing. ...Read more

Maybe pilonidal cyst: A pilonidal cyst is often the culprit of these symptoms. There is a cystic area under the skin that often becomes infected and drains spontaneously. They can be very painful. He should see his primary care doctor for referral to a surgeon for excision of the cyst, which should take care of the problem. ...Read more

Found what looked like 1 red pimple near butt crack-it was really hard to pop but I did it and clear liquid and blood came out. Herpes?
Difficult to say: Here are some facts. A blood filled cyst near the anus is a hemorrhoid. Herpes lesions are blisters or a cluster of blisters that do not have blood in them. They also hurt and itch. Sometimes with a large bowel movement a small tear can occur that then gets infected. So, an infected anal fissure is a rare possibility. But, a pimple is also in that realm. ...Read more

Abscess cyst: What you are describing is most likely a congenital condition known as a pilonidal cyst. It is not a dangerous condition, but should be fullly evaluated by a physician and then treated appropriately. It may require excision or just incision and drainage and obliteration of the cyst walls. You should be evaluated by a physician to determine the exact diagnosis. ...Read more
