Sore Lymph Nodes In Neck One Side
My son is coughing and has enlarged lymph nodes. Two small ones on each side of his neck (for over 8 weeks) and a new one the size of a cherry pit.
Swollen lymph nodes: It's time to get that checked out if its been two weeks and getting new swollen glands.
Five days ago I had Septoplasty/Sinuplasty. Today was the first day I felt MUCH better. However, after activity today I am noticing sore lymph nodes in neck, a new sore throat (it doesn't seem to be from intubation), and somewhat of a heavy chest. And I
Congested LN/chest: May be from PND which may be increased post nasal surgery with activity or can be new onset infection as you are somewhat immunocompromised being post op. Would call you surgeon and discuss use of zyrtec, and antibiotics. Try gargling a bit with salt water (1 teaspoon salt in glass water) and elevate head of bed.
Unprotected sex with itchy skin all over my body with sore lymph nodes in neck ear pain and small red bumps that come and go. Neg hiv at 108 days. Std?
See derm: I wonder if your doctor has considered scabies as the cause for your skin problem. You need to call your doctor or consider consulting a dermatologist.
Swollen lymph nodes in neck with 2 very sore knots on head dr said nothing wrong. But getting worse what is it?
Rule out tumor: Tender knots on head could be inflamed cysts or skin malignancies. If there is associated lymph nodes these could be drainage from infected lesions or spread from malignant skin tumors which are enlarging. See surgeon to consider bx of head lesions. That will tell you what the cervical nodes are and what kind of treatment necessary to resolve issue.
Drainage, sore throat and tender lymph nodes in neck.3rd day of 250mg z-pak. Feel better overall, but throat still very sore and nodes tender.
Sore throat and sinus drainage with tender lymph nodes in neck. On 3rd day of z-pak, feel better overall, but not in throat or neck. See a dr?
Patience: If you feel you are getting better I would give it some more time. Your lymph nodes can stay swollen for months after an illness. If they are getting larger, or more numerous, that is a different story and see your doc asap.
It is reactive: Your lymph node could be reacting to infection or nonspecfic inflammation at a location that is drained by that lymph noce.
Could be...: A few different things. Tender is usually a good sign. If you have a few relatively small tender lymph nodes & you struggle with allergies or have a cold, those could cause it. However if you have a very lg node/nodes, it's best to get that checked out. You might also want to check for swollen lymph nodes elsewhere in the body & if you find some, that would be another reason to get checked out.
Doubtful: Pnd is usually not a precipitating factor in lymphadenopathy. Infections and allergic reactions are more commonly causative factors in lymphadenopathy. If the condiiton persists, and the nodes do not get smaller and smaller in the next week or so, than see your dr. For an evaluation. Good luck.
Sick with a cold a week ago, had a soar throat along with very tender lymph nodes in neck. Not ill anymore but neck lymph nodes still very tender, something To be concerned? How long does the tenderness go down after illness? Should I see a doctor?
Lymph nodes: After such an infection I would give the reactive lymph glands a couple of weeks to lose their tenderness. Even then small, shotty lymph nodes may persist months or even years but they should not be tender. Worrisome signs would be growth of new glands, increasing size of one or more glands or appearance of new palpable lymph glands in other parts of the body. Swollen (small, soft, mobile) post-cervical lymph node, left. Coughing, sore throat, white-yellow phlegm. Throat throbs, left. No fever. What is it?
Common cold, or: Of the many things that cause sore throat, they all fall into two categories infections (viral or bacterial) or irritants/injury (e.g. Gerd, postnasal drip). The common cold (viral) would be the most common cause of a sore throat and match your symptoms, although your pcp may want to take a look for any tell tale spots in the oropharynx, check for rashes, swab for strep, do a blood test for mono.See 2 more doctor answers

I'm concerned - 2 connected, lymph nodes on one side of my neck for 4 months. Not too large (peanut and pea sized), not tender, but somewhat hard.?
Lymphadenopathy: Has many different causes. A common one being transient viral illness. The fact that you have noticed them for so long requires a physical exam and visit to your doctor in person. :)
Lower down on the base of my neck my head feels swollen on the side and gets very sore my lymph nodes are also it happens every couple of months?
Joint, muscle or URI: The most likely causes for your neck discomfort is arthritic change in your cervical spine. The pain comes from spasm of the muscles that overlie the bony spine or inflamed joints in the front (uncinate joints) and back (facet joints) of the spinal column in your neck. The lymph nodes raise the possiblity of upper respiratory infection, but there other serious causes for these so see your doctor.
I'm sore under ribs (10th). done nothing to hurt myself. Also sore in my lymph nodes in the left side of neck. Any idea what it could be?
Wait And See: Ya know, it may be nothing- and if it is, it'll probably all go away in a few days, but if either or both (the pain or nodes) persist over a week or two or get worse before then, then best for you to see a doc about it. Other than that, best not to worry too much about it unless, in two weeks, it hasn't gone away or gets worse.
On neck behind ear 3 sore pea size lumps (swln lymph nodes?) popped up today & keep growing. The top one hurts the most. Shld I see dr or wait it out?
See a physician: Sounds like posterior occipital lymphadenothpy (a swelling of lymph nodes around the posterior ear and base of the skull): must be seen and evaluated.
