When I take a heavy breath my left back side where my lungs and ribs are hurt like a sore really painful feeling , can you please tell what's happenin?
See your doctor: Pain in the back of the chest, when taking a deep breath, can be caused by several conditions. The ribs or muscles might be sore, but they should also be sore when you push on the spot. The lining of the lung ("pleura") may also be inflamed, and this is usually a sharper kind of pain. It would be wise to let your doctor examine you and possibly order tests to determine the exact cause. ...Read more

Can a 17 year old have lung cancer i don't smoke but my dad does and i'm around him often my back has been sore lately and I have a cough?
I'm sorry your: Dad smokes. He risks his health mightily, but you are downstream of the side stream smoke, which also risks your health. While there have been a few cases reported under 20 years, they don'ealways smoke. Back pain is more likely related to straining with lifting and exercise. Never smoke. Encourage your dad to quit, check out your back pain if it does not improve soon. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

PFT...: The best way to see how the lungs are functioning is to get pulmonary function testing. This will diagnose airway obstruction and determine if the obstruction, if present, is reversible (ex. asthma) or irreversible (ex. COPD). An x-ray tells you what the lungs look like but not how well they are working. Ask for a PFT! And, quit smoking ASAP to decrease airway inflammation! ...Read moreSee 3 more doctor answers

Treat the asthma symptoms under doctors care, find a way to stop smoking even with therapy, there are many ways. Also ask for x-ray if worry persists, lung changes would be evident. Blood work as well. Take care! ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Last 4 weeks had chronic pain under left shoulder blade & down arm & tingling fingers & sore left breast. Heating pad helps. Can this be lung cancer?

An MRI of the cervical spine and brachial plexus will determine if this is a spine problem or a cancer problem. See a spine specialist to determine the cause of the pain and to begin a treatment plan. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
I have been having minor chest pain for about a week. Now its slightly sore on the left between my back and chest but decreased pain is this serious?
Does not sound : Serious. Sounds like you may have unknowingly hurt something maybe in your back that you felt in your chest and now it is getting better. Since it is getting better that is a good sign and a sign that it is not serious. When something is wrong in your back you often feel it in your chest, but only worry about the chest and don't pay attention to to back till the chest improves. ...Read more
