Have it checked out: They should not be sore. You should have these lumps which are likely lymph nodes evaluated. This could be a reflection of an infection. Usually, inflammation of lymph nodes induce this type of pain. Any infection on the upper extremity?
Other can be related to a rib and brachial nerve compression, or a cervical rib. It is fairly deep and when I press on it I feel pain and the pain radiates down my arm all the way to my hand. The pain feels like nerve pain

This sounds like you have some lymph node that are swollen or inflamed. If this is the case, it can be the sign of an infection or other process going on. This should be evaluated by your physician. If you are having pain during the daytime, perhaps it is related to muscular strain. If there are any masses, lymph nodes which can be felt, I would suggest a follow up visit with your PCP. This problem is unlikely to be related to the flu illness which you had in December.

Have it checked out: It sounds like you have a series of "lumps" or lymph nodes that are painful particularly on your left side. You should have it checked out to make sure there isn't an infection going on. Don't forget that the lymph nodes act as a drainage and filtration system to try to stop infection.
