Harm : I would not mess with ankle that has lymphadema. It can lead to open wounds that very hard to heal. Using compression stockings, and addressing the cause of lymphadema would be more beneficial. ...Read more

Most commonly: Cause by removal of or damage if lymph node by cancer. Do you have cancer or cancer treatment? Symptoms are tightness and aching/discomfort, decrease range of motion, hardening of the skin, infections. Cancer, infections like parasites, surgery and congenital causes. Terrible pain not common but in theory peripheral neuropathy and compartment syndrome a possibility. See your physician asap. ...Read more

Ankle Sprain Healing: Statistically, 10% of all ankle sprains have some residual problem after one year. This can be muscle weakness, ligament instability, missed bone injuries, stiffness, etc. Most of these problems are minor, but not if you are getting some disability.
