Sore Calf Muscles No Reason
Currently painful bilateral calf spasticity that began yest. Muscles stiff,feel verge of "charlie horse". Pain to touch,walk. No workout,no DVT symptm?
Dehydration?: When there is a simultaneous bilateral problem, think what could be happening that would affect my whole system via my blood stream? Dehydration can cause bilateral calf spasticity, especially if you're low on electrolytes. Also, the onset of a virus is systemic and could cause this. Need sonogram veins.: You should have a venous ultrasound to look for dvt. Pregnancy and sedentary life style puts you at increased risk for dvt. Your symptoms are vague but you should rule out a DVT and the best test for this is a venous ultrasound. Leg pain: vascular ?: Deep vein thromotic lesions are more serious but less common than superficial vein thrombi. Your "check for DVT x2 should have been via ultrasound tests (plethismography) to be certain there is not a deep vein clot. Pain medial calf: Sounds as very well could be medial gastroc strain. Symptoms generally self limited and should improve with time. For now recommend avoid provocative activities (running), gentle stretching as tol, anti-inflammatories, ice, etc. Would fully expect this to improve over a week or so.
