Sore right breast, need breastfeeding advice?

Nursing: Keep nursing on that side especially, if the milk gets backed up causing milk cysts and pain you can use warm compresses and manually massage to clear that locked dust if nursing doesn't do it. Or pump that side to get better suction to get it out. Just don't stop nursing the sore side as that can lead to infection. Sounds backwords but it works. Call your lactation consultant for guidance also. ...Read more

Galactorrhea: Expression of milk when not lactating post-partum is suggestive of galactorrhea which has many causes (http://www.Mayoclinic.Com/health/galactorrhea/ds00761) so you need to go see your doctor. We're really concerned for prolactinoma but also need to review your medications and run some simple tests. Be sure to bring in everything you take, even over-the-counter supplements. ...Read more

I am currently breastfeeding and my one breast is painful with red sore nipple and making it hard to breastfeed.

You can also start your nursing at each feed for now on the breast which is not sore. If this does not help, please speak to your doctor or a lactation specialist, both of whom can help you.
