Usual recovery: The roots of wisdom teeth are quite deep and so surgical extraction causes quite a bit of trauma to the gum/jawbone and so some swelling and pain are expected. Since you are getting better and better, i would say that you are experiencing the usual recovery. The gum area may not feel completely normal for quite sometime. Maybe: If you have not changed diaper brands or wipes, then probably not. When kids are two and older, they frequently get diaper rash. Try vaseline or another ointment barrier to keep the stool and urine off of their skin. Change them quickly when they go in the diaper.
