Floaters to look for: Floaters are usually nothing to worry about -- most people have some. But they can be a sign of inflammation in the eye or sometimes a sign of a retinal tear. If they are worsening or associated with lightning-like flashes of light then they should be checked out. Probably not.: This sounds like a sub conjunctival hemorrhage, a broken blood vessel underneath the thin transparent membrane over the white of the eye. It will not cause any permanent problem and will go away by itself in 2-3 weeks. You should have it checked by your doctor though just to be sure this is what it is. ...Read more

See doc now: If you have had eye trauma, and you actually have vision changes such as not being able to see in part of your visual field, you need to see an ophthalmologist immediately, as in today. It was small spot often gets opaque when I see. now it grew a bit larger circle through which I see light greenish images. Rest of the field is normal. Opthalmologist dialated n said it is floater and prescribed some vit. suppl and a lubricant eye drops.
