Sneeze: It is possible. Think about it. The distance a sneeze spray can travel is about 30 feet. If you wash your hands, avoid touching your face or any part of your head with your hands, get plenty of rest, keep yourself well hydrated, take Vit C, you still might get sick. Probably a wash: It's probably about the same risk. I can't think of a reason why the steam would make it more transmissible. The best thing you can do by far is good hand washing and avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth as much as you can. ...Read more

Stay clean: If they sneezed in your face, not much you can do other than say "God Bless YOU, and I appreciate you covering your mouth!"
