I sprained my back 2 weeks ago at work, I did nothing different, it just happend.. I feel ok now. What are the chances it can happen again?
Lots of things: Dont sit or stand in one place for long periods of time. It is good to take frequent short walks. Be careful lifting, bending, pushing and pulling things. If you have to lift keep your back straight and lift with bent knees. Sleep with your knees bent and a roll between your knees and underneath them. Ice back after use and apply moist heat imbetween . Stretch/core: Best means to control long term back pain is to keep the weight off and keep your core strong. Focus on abdominal strengthening and low back stretches/strengthening. Occasional antinflam probably doesn't hurt when things get more flared up.
