I have back pain in at the bottom of my back for about 3 years now and I have a lump on my knee and my dad have MS I have about 75% of the symptoms.?
See a neurologist,: As it is hard to tell what you may really have. Ms is not a disease of true heredity, but one of susceptibility, and with your dad's issues, your risk is but 1-2%. I am a dancer. Symptoms- swelling, shadows on inside, aching when used, a lump on the outside in line with the centre of the knee. ?
Knee injury?: Because of your dancing, your knees are subject to lots of stress. The "shadows" may indicate deep bruising in the knee joint, and I'm wondering about an injury to the cartilage in the knee (called the "meniscus"). I have had a lump on my knee for about 5yrs, it's a little larger than a pea & dome shaped. It does not move & hurts at times. Should i be worried?
Not worried: Tara, this sounds like most likely a cyst of some kind, or possibly a bone fragment from an old injury, or even a foreign body. The fact that it has not grown is most reassuring.
