Soft Lump On Ear Lobe
I have a small, painful lump behind both ear lobes. They don't hurt outright, but they hurt to touch. Is this serious?
Hard to say: These could be lymph nodes or cysts or infected/clogged follicles or even something else. Since it's bilateral - as in on both sides - lymph nodes are more likely the culprit. To be sure you should seek an in person evaluation. Hope this helps. ...Read more
What is the lump near my ear? I found it right in front of the lobe and it feels painful to touch, I found it 3 days ago. It's semi hard but moves
Preauricular node: The fact that you can move it argues that it is not attached to the skull. You likely had an infection in that region of your body and the cells there gave up their lives in their "last full measure of devotion" to protect you. If it doesn't go down soon, see your doc. ...Read more

Hi, I have this lump in my ear lobe, had one before but it went but this is bigger and hurts a lot, any help?
Cyst: There are small oil glands inside the ear lobe. If their drainage point is blocked the fluid will keep filling the sac and cause a lump. Sometimes over time and with massage the cyst will drain. If it's not red massage the area gently several times a day to see if that changes thing. As with any weird lump/bump a real exam by MD is usually the best way to get the right diagnosis. ...Read more
I have a lump behind the lobe on my left ear, it hurts and is not on the surface of the skin. What could this be?
Sebaceous cyst: Sebaceous cysts are benign. The body of the cyst is filled with dead skin cells and oil from the skin’s oil glands. They can be manipulated with the fingers and moved beneath the skin. Sebaceous cysts are painless unless they have become infected or are pressing on a nerve. They can occur anywhere on the body where sebaceous glands are present, including the earlobes where they are not uncommon. ...Read more

Small lump in ear lobe, ball like, next to pierced ear. Hurts alittle bit when pressed? Seems to in reds in size as well.
Piercing infection: Sounds like the piercing got infected. Remove the earring (you can re-pierce it later if the piercing closes up).
