Possible seizures : From abruptly stopping sodium valproate. Possibly nausea, dizziness, wierd, electric-like feelings ( all part of the discontinuation syndrome) from abruptly stopping the zoloft ( sertraline). Please taper them both very gradually! you will feel much better! ...Read more

Maybe success: Valproate in the form of Depakote is a broad spectrum anti-epileptic with some potential adverse effects, but, if tolerated well, should be a medicine that can be successfully used for years. Best not to use the straight valproate due to GI intolerance, and better to use Divalproex Sodium form which is generic depakote. ...Read more
