Na/k atpase is an enzyme that maintains this pump, & the resting potential of the cell. This doesn't automatically mean adhd patients have problems with na or k though. Sometimes we have to change the medication or add in another medication to get improvement up to level that the patient and their family desires. Here are some...: Glad to see her acidosis has been improved from taking sodium bicarbonate. Known to us, dialysis is designed for fluid overload and/or electrolyte and acid-alkaline imbalance. Do nephrologists recommend dailysis now or refer for pre-dialysis assessment? So, ask her doctors for specifics and relevance for renal tubular acidosis, dialysis, etc. because online 400-letter does not suffice to address.. ...Read more

Details, details: You can't really expect someone to recommend how to treat you by looking at a few numbers. You have to sit down with a doc face-to-face with whatever info you have and discuss your situation with him/her. This is not to be done in 400 spaces. Investigate: Potassium level of 3.2 can be if you are taking diuretics or if you chronic diarrhea. Otherwise you are having more losses throygh kidney and the reason should be figured out with the help of a doctor. ...Read more

Not known so...: Msg has not been shown to cause or adversely affect hypertension. It is a rather common food additve/sweetener and fortunately relatively safe, in moderation of course. If you have problem with hypertension, obviously you should consult doc for eval and treatment. It is not necessary that you advoid msg, but too much of anything is not good.
