Social Phobia (Overview)

Social phobia is a strong fear of being judged by others and of being embarrassed. This fear can be so strong that it gets in the way of going to work or school or doing other everyday things. Most people with social phobia know they shouldn't experience so much anxiety, but they can't control it.

CBT therapy: Especially if it is relatively isolated to situations like this that, while errorenous, make some sense, therapy where you can learn skills to avoid, reduce and manage anxiety is what I'd urge.
