I regrettably ate dinner late, ate 7:30 pm - how long do I have to wait for my stomach to empty so I can take my ambien CR?
I've never taken ambien cr. I took ambien for five years long term. No longer works like it once did. Explained to sleep doc and he still wants me to try it? w the Trazodone 150 mg I stopped after being on it for a year and it stopped working.
Insomnia for twenty years. successful taking 1-1.5 mg klonazapam, 1/2-1pill of Ambien cr and either Advil PM or benadryl (diphenhydramine). Lately can't sleep and want to up kl to 2mg. Thoughts? TY

Don't get dependent: Taking more and more sleep meds is a dangerous path. Figure out why you can't sleep; see your primary care md first. Eliminate caffeine; don't exercise too late in the evening; stay away from your cell phone and other bright screens just before going to bed. Don't go to bed until you're sleepy.
